time flies when you are having fun!

Tuesday night we came home and did a lot of nothing. We had Subway for dinner and just relaxed. Kendall played with my Kindle fire. It is so funny when she plays it because I always make my favorite joke..Kendall and the Kindle....AHAHAHA - corny I know LOL! It wa a great relaxing evening.

Wednesday she was at her Dad's house so I got my nails done and relaxed and did some laundry since we had a game the next day. I have been feeling sick since LAST Thursday and Monday and Tuesday had NO voice. Wednesday it came back a little, but my throat started hurting tonight. It feels like I am swallowing shards of glass...it STINKS.. sucking on couch drops is the only think that helps...I have been living on these things....

Thursday was game day. Fast and Furious won again and KJ scored the winning run!!! The final score as 14-13. It was awesome! She is getting to be such an awesome player! Her whole team is great. They actually have been asked to represent the Humble Girls Softball League in two city-wide tournaments coming up. One at the end of April (but KJ can't play in that one because we will be at Kichapoo) and another one the first weekend in May. I am so proud of them! They are rocking the field. They have not lost a game yet!

Kendall took a pic of me because a good friend told me I didn't have enough pics of myself on FB. So I had her take one to post.. not too shabby if you ask me LOL.

Friday night we stayed in and ate pizza and watched a movie. We rented "Puss in Boots". It was HILARIOUS!!!!

Sat we got up and went to a bday party at Chuck E. Cheese at 930. We left early and headed down to UH to watch a double header for Cougar softball. It was girl scout day and they had a "clinic" for the girls before the game. I thought it was going to be a skills clinic. It was not. It was just a few people that spoke to the girls about how to get involved in the sports world. One was the director of marketing, one was a trainer for the softball team, one was a UH basketball player, and the last was the Assistant Athletic Director and the highest ranking woman in the UH sports program (that is the one that I thought was the coolest). She even played UH bball back in the day! It was cool. The Coogs won both games. The second game went into extra innings and ended with a Coog grand slam. After the game, KJ got to go onto the field and get the whole teams autographs. She was in heaven!!!!! I kinda loved it too! I love softball!!!

And of course, I always seem to get some kind of ridiculous sunburn! I put sunblock on, but it was windy, and well...I am white and it just happens. It is already gone today.

We came home and watched Harry Potter 8 and had McDonalds. It was such a great day and holy smokes........Harry Potter was so great. I need to re-read the books!!!!

Sunday morning we got up and lazed around and watched Barbie and a Mermaid Tale 2. Then we went to Disney on Ice. Here are a couple of before pics!

We got there a little late but not too much. We knew our friends were going and sure enough we ran into them walking in. YAY! Then they were not sitting too horribly far from us. We hooked up with them at the end to walk to our cars and the funny part was that she came from Pearland and we came from Atascocita and we literally parked 3 spaces from each other. It was great seeing our friends. We don't get too see them too much. Here are a few pics from the show.

Last night we got pizza again and we are watching "Annie". We had a full and amazing weekend!!! Love speinding time with my girl!

We have girl scouts and softball this week so we will be busy again!!!

EASTER!

What a busy weekend! Thursday was KJ's spring party so we got up and made her look all beautiful for her party. Everyone LOVED her dress!!

Thursday night, Jason Cassidy (a Texas country singer) was playing at a bar close to the house. I wanted to go really bad but only one person I knew was going...it is a friend from when I was a kid that I hadn't seen in years but we are friends on FB and she was urging me to come and telling me how it would be cool. I was nervous. I am not big on doing that kind of thing...I need people I know...but, I got up and went and you know what, I met people and I had a BLAST!!!! It was so fun! I danced and danced and am so glad I went.

Friday I had to work, but they let us off early so I went and got my girl for a little bit while her dad was still at work and we went to the park and played and then went and had snow cones!!! YUMMMMYYYY!! I got banana/pink bubble gum and she got grape/blue raspberry. We had a nice afternoon together!

I was going to go hang out with another friend, but I ended up in bed at 815 and didn't get up until 10am on Saturday. I wasn't feeling too hot so I layed around a while. Then I got up and went to the store, got a few things for this week and got KJ some Easter junk since her dad was letting me have her for a few hours on Easter!!!

I got a call that my friends were going to a BBQ and then out dancing...if you know me, you know I can't pass up dancing....it is in my blood. So, I got up got ready and headed to Conroe - we went and hung out at a bar on the lake and then went dancing and I of course, danced and danced. It was a blast!

Sunday I got up, got ready and went to get my girly!!!! It was Easter and the bunny had been to our house!! She needed to come check out her goodies! We got home and she found all her eggs way too easy. We opened them all and checked out all her prizes and then just snuggled a bit. I finally took her back to her dad's and she BEGGED me to go to lunch with them...I did. It was different. But, it made her happy and that is all that matters.

She also got some tattoos in her basket and wanted me to put them on her. When I asked her where she wanted them, she immediately said her feet that way she could hide them if she needed to...I have corrupted my child...MUUAAAHHHAHAHAHAHAH

My sister was having a HUGE bbq later in the day. I got there about 3 and we had so much fun. I was so sad KJ couldn't go, but she was at her dad's. I ate and laughed and best of all, i got to hold my baby niece who I have not seen since she was born!!!!!!!! I got to feed her and burp her (and she spit up on me) and change her! And HOLY SMOKES I have baby fever haha!!!!!! I will just have to visit her more often to get over it! Isn't she the cutest thing you have ever seen!!!!!!!!!!

Last night we had another softball game and the Fast & Furious won again. The game was tied at 15-15 in the middle of the 4th inning and we were the home team so we had last at bat. As long as we got just one run, we would win... Julia got up to bat and she got on base. Then it was KJ's turn. She SMACKED the ball into center field and was on 3rd by the time the ball finally got back to the pitcher and then she missed it so she kept running and got another HOMERUN!! So, she knocked in the game winning run with a HOMERUN and the girls won 17-15. I don't like that score because technically we could have scored 3 more runs in that inning. That score looks like we barely squeezed out the win....but we won easily and the girl hit a HOMERUN!!!! I am so proud...can you tell ahhahhhaaaaa!!!

GROWING

Wow!!!!!! My kid is growing like a WEED!!!!

She was standing next to a friend at girl scouts last night and was about 3 inches taller than her. We have known this little girl since the girls were about 2 1/2 and they have consistently been about the same height their whole lives but I noticed last night how much taller KJ was than her. AND..KJ had on ballet flats and E had on thick soled Skecher tennis shoes.

I asked E's mom how tall she was and she said just about 49" without the thick shoes. That means my girl is over FIFTY INCHES TALL!!!!!! The person is not even 7 world!! WHY...give me my baby girl back!!!!

On another note, here are a few things that I am excited about coming up...

NEXT Sat we are going to a UH softball clinic and a double header to watch them play against East Carolina....it will be televised! I am SO excited!
NEXT Sunday we are going to Disney on Ice. I am a huge kid and I love them.
In 3 1/2 weeks we head to Kickapoo!!! LOVE THE PLACE and the people and we always have such a blast!
Mother's day is coming up and I am going to see my soul mate (by BFF since I was in 9th grade but we have been friends since I was in 5th) in JULY!!!!!!!! I haven't seen her in 6 years!!!

Anddd.......only 269 days until our DISNEY CRUISE!!!!!!

BUSY GIRLS!!!

Whew!!! What a weekend! We were some busy girls!!! I had missed my baby SO much, I wanted to make sure that we could pack in all the fun I could!! A little "make up for lost time" syndrome.

Thursday night we had dinner with my parents and our most favorite Italian restaurant, Italiano's. It is RIGHT next to the house, delicious, and it doesn't hurt that we are now "regulars". My niece's boyfriend works there and we just feel at home there. It is the same restaurant I had my bday party at. It was a nice meal. We were supposed to meet a friend there for her daughter's bday, but alas Tori had a softball injury so they didn't get to come. I guess we will have to go this week...DARN (hee hee).

Friday I got to work and I had a stinking FLAT....I hate my car right now. It got scratched about a month ago and it looks SO ugly. I want to cry...It also needs an inspection, tags, windshield wipers, and an oil change. And, well evidently she (Lucy is her name) wanted new tires too. Now here it the problem...I owed taxes this year because I didn't change my W4 when my divorce was final last year...well, being a responsible adult, I didn't wait to the last minute and I paid them on the 15th of March. Well, guess what??? I had to buy two new tires and that was $365. I have more bills on the 1st then I do on the 15th so it was painful to have to buy those tires. But, I did it. It was SO liberating to do it all on my own. I didn't need any one's help (well I did with my tire at the office, but hey, I am a girl and I sometimes need a man LOL). Sooo, I went to get KJ (her dad picked her up for me) and we met my parents at Kohl's. Granny bought KJ some early birthday clothes. She even bought me 2 new pair of jeans since I only had 2 that currently fit. We headed over to Ginger Cafe (another fav by the house where we are "regulars"). It was a nice evening but we needed to go home and get to bed since we had to be up eeaarrllyyyyy Sat morning for a long day of fun!

We had softball pics Sat morning and 8 and a game at 930 and then fun day for hours after. We got to the fields, got our pics made and headed to warm up for the game. The ground was GROSS...super muddy - the ball wouldn't even roll - we knew we were in for a doozy of a game. We actually won 12-6! We haven't lost a game yet! Our girls are doing AWESOME!! And KJ got a huge hit into left field for a double. Just think how far she would have gone if she would dun faster hahahahaha. After the game the first thing she wanted to do was get her helmet painted...she has been wanting this for over a year now. So, I gave in and let her - it looks so awesome. I don't have a pic yet, but I will post soon. It took FOREVER for them to finish the stinking thing so we were there foeevverrrrr....Our team was supposed to work the photo booth from 12-2...NO ONE VOLUNTEERED...not one parent. Kendall's dad is the team parent so I of course didn't want to leave him hanging. I ended up working the whole time because there was a young girl there whose mom owned it and I knew it would be awkward for them both. I had no problem with it. Kendall had fun with me and would go hang out with him some too. But I still can't get over that NOT ONE person volunteered and they SAW MW WORKING IT!!!! If I was not a nice person I would say something, but alas, I would never do that. Here is a pic of the girl rocking the photo booth props!!

After the fun day we went home and took showers and got all pretty for our bluebonnet pics with our favorite photographer MEGAN!!!! She is a rock star and I love her and she is such a sweetheart. Neither one of us has ever had our pics int he bluebonnets so i thought it was time we got it done...I didn't get a pic of us together with my phone but I got the girl...MAN I LOVE THIS PERSON!!!

Then it was time for a sleepover at Granny's for KJ and me to go celebrate one of my friend's bday's. KJ hadn't slept over at Grany's in a month and I haven't seen Larissa in almost SIX MONTHS!!!! Here we are celebrating!!! (I have known her since I was a freshman in high school).

Then Sunday I got up and went to Granny's and got ready to go see Annie with my girl. Annie is one of my all-time fav movies! I have seen the play at LEAST 3 times before and I was so stoked to take KJ. Mom and sister couldn't go so we got to take some of our besties, Jayme and Saira. Kendall loved it and we actually got tons of autographs and even met the little gil who played Annie. The cool part is when the 4 of us went to see White Christmas, we met th actress that played the General's granddaughter and the girls got a pic with her...Annie was the same actress! The girls thought it was so cool. Also, while there I heard someone calling my name and I turned around to see 3 women that worked at my elementary school. Two of them had lived in my neighborhood and were family friends as well. It was pretty cool that they recognized me all these years later! And great to catch up with them!

We got home, had baths, ate dinner, finished up a cool seed project for school that was due today, and snuggled while we watched the ACM's. It was an amazing weekend!!!

We had some rain this morning and I just got word that the softball game is cancelled which stinks because now I don't get to see my girl since it is her dad's week. BOO!

Well, I have a pretty laid back week so all should go smooth!
